YOUNG HEARTS RUN FREE (1976)

Esta cancion de Candi Staton me gusta mucho pero se poco de esta cantante, empezo como cantante de Gospel a finales de los 60. Mas tarde da el paso lógico y se convierte en intérprete de southern soul, consiguiendo una cadena más que notable de éxitos en las listas especializadas. Cuando este estilo entra en decadencia se reconvierte en disco diva, con dos grandes éxitos,Young hearts run free y Victim. A principios de los 80 retorna al gospel, grabando un buen puñado de discos religiosos y canónicos.

Allí seguiría quizás si no fuera porque una remezcla de The Source de un tema suyo, You Got the Love, se convierte en 1991 en un éxito de las pistas de baile y vende un par de millones de copias. Desde entonces, Staton ha seguido teniendo incursiones en el mainstream.

Por cierto, esta cancion es de la banda sonora de ROMEO Y JULIETA(la de DiCaprio) y tambien de la serie MUJERES DESESPERADAS pero interpretada por Gloria Estefan.
